I had a dog that raised a kitten. (the mother had bad milk) Our dog took the last kitten and carried it to a chair and was in it nursing it. It did give milk.

I have heard of this before but have never seen it. I’ve also heard of a dog producing milk for a baby bird!!
yes its adorable. and sweeet its nice that a dog and cat can get along when a lot of different ppl cant….they’re like role models
LOL !! yes ive seen it. My ChaWeenie (Chiuhaha weiner) did it. we had a baby kitten and it nursed off of her. and My dog has never had puppies or anything. but wow. she was such a good “mommy”
Yes I know of a female dog who will produce milk within 24 hrs of having baby anything put in her bed. She has successfully raised puppies, kittens, bunnies, squirrels, ferrets and others. The “mother instinct in animals can take a turn in a great direction. I have two female dachshunds and when they have litters close together about the third week the puppies just nurse on whoever is handy. Also they are not above stealing each others new pups I have to separate them to stop that.
