The victim’s obituary reads Robin Lowe, a 24 year old 30 weeks pregnant in for dehydration, vomiting, stomach pain, due to give birth in August of 2006. The nurse inserted Robin’s feeding tube into her IV and it killed the baby girl and Robin within hours and yet the nurse was still allowed her nursing licence, after a year ,and no manslaughter charges were brought against the nurse even though she had NO DOCTOR’S ORDER for the procedure she was doing with the feeding tubes and IV and it killed Robin and her baby. Robin had a young son and husband. Kansas Board of Nursing made a judgement to allow this nurse, SMM to still practice nursing here, how many people can a nurse kill due to “gross negligence” before they are convicted of murder or manslaughter??? That is my question. No one is safe with judgements like that I was told by a nurse who was working at that hospital when SMM ignored verifying a doctors order or watched what she was doing. I heard she wasn’t even IV certified.This has shaken alot of people who are lucky enough to hear about it.
our mother was in an accident on the nursing home van…she has had her legs amputated due to diabetes, she has no use of her left arm and barely strength in her right,of course she is in her right stage of mind though thanks be to GOD…on a particular day she was on her way to the doctor(which we found out later she didnot even have a doctor appt)anyways the girl that was driving the van she strapped the wheelchair down my mom was sitting in,but she didnot strap my mom down in the chair or the seatbelt…she was speeding and my mom told her that she could feel herself falling out the chair,but the girl kept driving telling my mom to hold on she will get her in a minute but a minute never came and my mom fell out the chair onto the van floor..she suffered a broken stump on the right and a head concussion she was sore for days..well we got an attorney and he suggested we put her out of that facility while investigations are undergoing…the question is how long does it take to settle?

my mom was injured in an accident at the nursing home facility she was in….and they were negligent…..and this has been since oct of last year so when do the case get started and how long does it take before we the children and our mom hear from them……she has now been taking out the facility…..what do the courts base everything on and why does it take so long to settle?
