nursing chair

Do you ask her if she just pee-ed in her seat?
Do you ask her if her name is written on the chair?
Do you convince her the chair is “first butt first served”?
Do you tell her to payfor the chair?
What would you have done if you are in charge? :) Except for their own beds/wheelchairs, others are “public property” funded by donors and well-wishers. And what if you have 3 or 4 who wants to reserve a particular chair?? You end up playing judge. You SIMPLY can’t give in. See my logic?

Show her some friggin respect. When you get to her age I’m sure you’ll have some weird demands as well.

I would tell everyone not to sit in that special chair… in fact I would laminate a picture of hers and attach it to the chair. She will feel greatly valued… and she will listen to you more….

if it keeps them happy and its not putting any one out just let her have her special chair

            just understand her….
most oldies really have wierd requests. maybe that chair reminds her of something she had in her younger days.
just let her feel she’s safe when you’re around, you don’t want her to be scared of you, do you? …

Firstly if I was in charge of the nursing home I’d already KNOW my patients’ quirks wouldn’t I so it wouldn’t be an issue.

You are being a provoacateur by the above questions , no a proper researcher.

The lady involved may have alzheimers or dimentia of some kind and people with those illnesses rivert to acting like little kids. If they can remember anything at all.

I would hope you show her more respect and not provoke her and I hope to God you’re not going into nursing or geriatric care as a profession.

Unfortunately, the client is not playing with a full deck. Cut her some slack.
